Under the motto “We are not afraid”, protesters against the government and the prosecutor general gathered in the centre of Sofia for the 63rd evening of protests.

Before their traditional march to Eagles’ Bridge, attorney at law Nikolay Hadjigenov screened a video with advice on how protesters should behave if they are detained by police. One day before the scheduled big protest dubbed “grand national uprising” the so-called toxic trio who coordinate the anti-government protests announced there were international volunteers ready to come and protest against the Bulgarian government, the BNR reports.

On 10 September, the day of the planned “grand national uprising” the police announced there would be check points for prohibited artlces and for pyrotechnics. The aim is to avoid a repeat of the provocations of two weeks ago when there were clashes between provocateurs and the police, commissioner Radoslav Stoinev said.
