The money earmarked by the EU for measures to address the Covid-19 crisis should drive economic growth, create new jobs and be distributed fairly and reasonably. These funds alone are not a panacea, Bulgaria’s Vice-President Iliana Yotova said at the traditional autumn cocktail party of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on occasion of the new business season, the Presidency announced on its web site.

As for the difficulties the business is facing amid the coronavirus pandemic, Iliana Yotova pointed out that Europe and the rest of the world were not prepared for a crisis of such dimension. “More than ever, we need to rethink the role of the national economies, the economic ties within the EU and the development of own production”, Vice-President Yotova pointed out.
