Reforms must be carried out by political forces

The protests reject dishonest and incompetent government, wasting intellectual and material resources. All major political forces have created this system, steeped in corruption and arbitrariness, Albena Azmanova, a lecturer of Political Theory in Brussels, told BNR.

73 Bulgarian scientists from 60 universities in 12 countries have signed an open letter supporting protests against the government and the chief prosecutor.

According to Azmanova, the real question was not who would govern, but how they would do it. We can offer opinion and support. Work on reforms must be done by political forces. The task of the protests is to say that something is wrong, Azmanova says.
