Tensions between protesters and police marked the "Third Great People's Uprising" rally, with protesters calling for the resignation of the government and prosecutor general for the 76th consecutive day.
The protest began peacefully on the Day of Bulgarian Independence and some protesters headed to Eagles’ Bridge, where they stopped the traffic, while most of the citizens tried to go to the "St. Alexander Nevsky” cathedral and to the monument of the Unknown Warrior downtown Sofia.
