The Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament called on all MEPs to support the European Parliament’s resolution on Bulgaria. The socialists call on all MEPs to support the people in Bulgaria who have been taking to the streets for several months with well-founded demands for independent judiciary, transparency, rule of law and democracy, BTA informs.

We are speaking on behalf of the seven million citizens of Bulgaria, just as we are speaking on behalf of 10 million Hungarian nationals and 40 million Polish citizens, because we are all European citizens. We do this for the people in Bulgaria and we stand at their side in their fight for justice, accountability and democracy, the statement of S&D reads.
