Protests in Bulgaria continue

The 107th protest against the government of Boyko Borissov is planned to take place this evening. It is traditionally held in front of the presidency in the capital city.

During last night's rally, the driving force were protesting students from four universities in Sofia, our reporters informed. In front of the Council of Ministers building, protesters put up a long banner reading "Resignation". The Ministry of Finance was bombarded with eggs and tomatoes over the 2021 draft budget, which most protesters disapprove of.

After protests by the police in Varna and Ruse, today at 12.00 policemen from Kardzhali protest. The action in front of the building of the Regional Police Directorate will be with a request for additional remuneration for working on the front line in the fight against the coronavirus.
