The state-owned natural gas supplier Bulgargaz has filed a lawsuit against the heating company Toplofikatsia Sofia for BGN 110 million (EUR 56 million). The claim is for amounts due from the period February - October 2020. This was announced for BNR by the executive director of the gas company Nikolay Pavlov.
The debt has reached levels that are critical for Bulgargaz, Pavlov said. He clarified that Sofia's heating company is the largest consumer of natural gas in the country and the largest client of Bulgargaz - nearly 30% of the total consumption falls on the district heating company. Pavlov assured that "consumers of natural gas of Toplofikatsia Sofia will not stay without heating."
