Bulgaria has joined the contracts with AstraZeneca and Sanofi for a vaccine against Covid-19, Minister of Healthcare Kostadin Angelov has told the parliamentary health committee. It has adopted a draft decision approving Bulgaria's participation in the preliminary agreements for the purchase of vaccines concluded by the European Commission with "AstraZeneca", "Sanofi", "Pfizer Inc" and "BioNTech Manufacturing".

The European Commission has asked Bulgaria to consider the vaccine of "Janssen Pharmaceutica NV", Minister Angelov also said. The EU has been negotiating with 7 companies. There are adenoviral, antigenic and RNA vaccines. We have proposed that this country declares participation in all categories of vaccines, the Minister added.
