The third part of the draft National Strategic Document, prepared by the Strategic Council with Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev, was presented for public consultation. Legislative changes are needed in order to provide regulatory guarantees for accountability, responsibility and openness in the governance model, the project reads.

According to the document, the legal framework should oblige the Prime Minister to regularly report the results of his work and the work of the cabinet to the National Assembly. It is emphasized that the reform of the judiciary is of key importance, and the first steps in this direction should be aimed at creation of mechanisms to prevent political and other ties in the judiciary, BNR reporter Maria Kostova informs.
