The 174th day of anti-government protests in Sofia ended yesterday with a street procession and the traditional temporary blockade of Eagle’s Bridge.

Earlier, as they passed near the building of the Bulgarian National Television, protesters thwarted a live broadcast of BNT, which had to take place at a shopping center opposite the building of the public broadcaster. Protesters demanded the resignations of Bulgaria’s government, this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and BNT Director General Emil Koshlukov. They headed for Eagle’s Bridge when a Police cordon blocked the access to the building of the public broadcaster, BNR reporter Marta Mladenova informed.
