Biotechnology Center to be created in Sofia

The Sofia Municipality, Sofia Tech Park and the Health and Life Sciences Cluster Bulgaria have signed a memorandum of cooperation and the establishment of the country's first Biotechnology Center. There is a rise in the number of startups in the sphere of medicine and biotechnology, as well as R&D centers in Sofia

The Biotechnology Center will be an area where scientists, entrepreneurs and students will find suitable environment to support the start and development of their business. The construction of the center will put Sofia on the international map in the field of biotechnology and life sciences, as a place for science and investment in the development of health technologies, BTA reported.
