At an online meeting with Bulgarian organizations abroad, President Rumen Radev continued consultations on upcoming parliamentary elections. In the situation of pandemic, it is of particular importance to guarantee the health of all Bulgarian citizens, their constitutional right to vote, with normal voter turnout and confidence in the process, the President said.

Voting for our compatriots abroad strengthens their spiritual connection with the homeland and their commitment to public life in Bulgaria. The vote will be subject to specific safety measures in each country, President Radev added.

The question whether the validity of identity documents would be extended because of the impossibility to renew them at the moment was also raised, BTA reported.
