President gives awards to prominent medics, scientists and cultural figures

On February 11, President Rumen Radev is to present state awards to prominent Bulgarians for their significant achievements in the fields of diplomacy, medicine, science and culture.

Surgeon and transplantologist Prof. Dr. Nikola Vladov was awarded the “Stara Planina” Order First Degree with Swords. The Stara Planina OrderFirst Degree is also awarded to surgeon Prof. Georgi Todorov.

Order "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" First Degree goes to Bulgarian studies expert from Moldova Atanasia Stoianova and historian Prof. Plamen Pavlov.

Ophthalmologist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Oscar is to receive the Order of Civil Merit First Degree.

The "Stara Planina” Order First Degree will be presented to film director Prof. Ivan Nichev, philosopher Prof. Ivaylo Znepolski and gynecologist Prof. Dr. Angel Dimitrov.

"Sts. Cyril and Methodius" First Degree will be presented to actor Rusi Chanev and folklorist Ivan Balabanov.

Cinema Studies Professor Vera Naydenova is to receive the Order of St. Cyril and St. Methodius with a necklace, BTA has reported.
