In honor of the Day of Liberation of Bulgaria - March 3, Niagara Falls, which every night is illuminated in different colors, will be illuminated in the colors of the Bulgarian national flag. The initiative on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Canada is organized by the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Toronto, the press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported.

Diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Canada were officially established on June 30, 1966. In 1967 a Bulgarian embassy was opened in Ottawa and in 1976 the Bulgarian consulate general started operating in Toronto.
