“A specialized police operation has been launched in the country. It will go on until the elections,” Minister of the Interior Boyko Rashkov said at a briefing.

“There are some100 reports already that certain groups and representatives of parties will try to buy and sell votes,” Ministrer Rashkov added. “In Kyustendil a former interior Minister and a regional governor discussed how to get 15,000 Macedonians with Bulgarian citizenship to vote in this country, not without pay.”

“At this moment an attempt is being made to set up a sham polling station in a Central European country for Bulgarian citizens, who are not located on the territory of that country, to vote there. We are in contact with the respective services and will prevent any such attempts,” Boyko Rashkov commented.
