After the new leadership of Pirogov Hospital announced the end of the protests in front of the medical institution, medics and former patients gathered in front of the presidency. "Their protest is not in defense of fired director Prof. Asen Baltov, but against the defamation of the name of the hospital," BNR reporter Darina Grigorova informed. Prof. Asen Baltov was dismissed after the hospital led by him was accused of draining about half a million euro. The protesters carried posters reading "Pirogov does not drain funds" and called for the resignation of caretaker Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov.
