For the first time, Bulgarian children talked live with astronauts aboard the International Space Station. After a special selection, 32 students from across the country were approved to pose questions to the astronauts who live and work in outer space.
The "Hello, Space! Bulgaria calling" video conference was organized by the US Embassy in Sofia, over 30 leading NGOs and the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. The purpose of the event is to ignite students' interest in space and to help send a third Bulgarian into space.
The videoconference was broadcast live from the Facebook page of the US Embassy.
