Bulgaria detects new outbreak of African swine fever in a village near Plovdiv

Bulgaria has detected a second outbreak of African swine fever in the last two days. An outbreak of African swine fever was detected in a private farm in Plovdiv district. Five animals have symptoms of swine fever. Two days ago an outbreak of swine fever was detected in an industrial farm. 

The animals have been killed using a humane method. On Friday, August 20, the governor of Plovdiv district is to call an emergency meeting of the epizootic commission.
