Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev is guarded by the Ministry of Interior, the National Service for Protection and the Bureau for Protection, which is under his authority, said this country’s caretaker Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov in the National Assembly Legal Affairs Committee.

Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General needs protection, but it should be carried out only by the National Service for Protection, not by a specialized service that is directly subordinate to the Prosecutor General, noted this country’s caretaker Minister of Justice Yanaki Stoilov.
