Nightclubs in Bulgaria will continue to operate

The nightclubs will continue to operate, despite the intention of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health to refer the violations to the Prosecutor Office, an owner of a nightclub in Sofia told the BNR. According to the Ministry of Health, there are programs and means of redress for all businesses affected by the anti-epidemic measures.

However, owners of catering establishments note that the 60/40 wage support scheme applies only to operating businesses, and there is no support for the rest. In their view, many people do not observe the anti-epidemic measures and the closure of catering establishments will not solve the problem.
