A Eurobarometer poll conducted in August shows that 45% of opponents of Covid vaccines in Bulgaria are mostly women aged 25 to 39, living in cities and usually having 2 children under the age of fifteen. 27% express strong disbelief in the benefits of vaccination.

Two-thirds of Bulgarians want the authorities to be more transparent in their explanations and actions concerning immunization. 28% agree that there is a lack of transparency. Another 38% also agree to a certain extent with this claim. 20% do not accept that the benefits of Covid-19 vaccines outweigh the risks. 21% also express doubt in the benefits of vaccines, while another 8% have no opinion. Results show that almost half of the respondents are in the group of skeptics.
