From December 1, the Blue Zone for paid parking in Sofia will be expanded by another 7,000 parking spaces. Thus, the total number of paid parking spaces in the "Blue Zone" in the Bulgaria capital will be 12,000. They cover the current border "green" zone in the areas "Oborishte", "Sredets", a small part of "Triaditsa" and "Vazrazhdane".
According to IMRO municipal councilor Carlos Contreras, the funds under this measure will go to cover the costs of the Sofia public transport, which suffered heavy losses during the pandemic, BNR reported.
