Bulgaria is fully committed to cutting CO2 emissions by 55% by 2030 and becoming a climate neutral country by 2050, this country’s caretaker Premier Stefan Yanev said during the Glasgow Climate Change Conference.
Bulgaria will fulfill its obligations under the Paris Agreement and the EU legislation, added Premier Yanev. He noted that the transformation to climate neutrality would need to take into account the national specifics. Stefan Yanev pointed out that Bulgaria’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, which was already submitted to the European Union, contains a new roadmap for decarbonisation of the Bulgarian industry.
