Record number of daily coronavirus deaths in Bulgaria

There were 334 coronavirus-related deaths in the past day. This is the biggest number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in Bulgaria. 94.31% of the deceased patients were non-vaccinated citizens, according to the portal coronavirus.bg. Usually, the biggest number of deaths and newly infected people is reported on Tuesday due to the equalization of regional data after the weekend.

The newly infected coronavirus patients are 5,286 people. 11% of 48,136 tests returned positive result. 85.7% of the newly-infected are non-vaccinated people.

The number of registered patients has reached 114,301. There are a total of 8,516 patients in hospitals as 723 of them are in intensive care. 1,411 have been recently hospitalized as 89% of them do not have vaccination. 3,496 people recovered during the past day.

13,290 vaccines were administered on Monday. 1,571,841 people have completed the immunization cycle.
