In response to President Rumen Radev, who said that the institutions were late in establishing price control bodies, Deputy Prime Minister Grozdan Karadzhov assured that the government would implement all possible mechanisms to control possible price speculation during the transition from lev to euro.

Karadzhov pointed out that entering the eurozone will emerge as a priority for the government immediately after achieving the government's primary goal - to ensure a regular budget with a 3% deficit and a reduction in spending to 40% of GDP. According to him, this budget would lead Bulgaria "out of the precipitous decline into which the country has been plunged due to unreasonable and huge spending."
