The Eastern Partnership remains a priority for Bulgaria’s foreign policy not only because of our geographical proximity to the countries of the region, but also because of the historical and spiritual ties that bind us together, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev told journalists in Brussels before the start of the Sixth Eastern Partnership Summit.

The leaders of EU member states and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine attend the forum. “There is a large Bulgarian community in Moldova and Ukraine and our country is working to expand cultural and educational cooperation with these countries”, President Radev further said.
