Bulgaria records decreasing number of new infections, hospitalizations with Covid-19

1,443 is the number of new infections of Covid-19 in the country for the last 24 hours compared to 1,725 a day earlier. 4% of the 35,829 tests performed returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal.

There are 95,090 registered active patients. 376 infected people were admitted to hospitals during the day. 83% of them have not been vaccinated. The number of hospitalized patients has decreased to 4,791 as 551 of them are in intensive care.

The death toll from established Covid-19 infection in the past day was 86. Of these, 75 patients were not inoculated, or 87%. The number of recoveries is almost equal in number to the newly infected - 1,433.

18,701 vaccine jabs were administered on Thursday. Currently, 1,862,639 Bulgarian citizens have completed the immunization cycle.
