We are ready to help North Macedonia in the fight against corruption, because this is one of the most important preconditions for EU membership, Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov said in Parliament answering a question of an MP.

Bulgaria's position on the negotiation process with Skopje is the same as the one in the coalition agreement. We are to hold talks with North Macedonia on January 18 and propose the establishment of 5 new bilateral commissions, Premier Petkov further said.

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Transport is examining the possibilities to launch a direct airline from Sofia to Skopje, this country’s Minister of Transport and Communications Nikolay Sabev said during the sitting of the National Assembly Committee on Transport and Communications. The future railway line between the two capitals will be subject to discussions on January 18.
