Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov hopes that during his visit to North Macedonia on January 18th, an agreement on setting up five working groups - on economy, culture, infrastructure, European integration and history, would be reached. He said this in an interview with the MIA news agency, quoted by BGNES.
PM Petkov added that the criteria for the work of the groups would not be linked to deadlines, but to the final results. He said that he would not go to North Macedonia with an annex to the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation, but with readiness for a constructive dialogue and a new beginning. According to him, this new beginning "will be more dynamic, more practical, free from previous declarative commitments and focused on specific important issues affecting the daily lives of citizens of both countries."
