10,160 new Covid-19 infections registered in past day, one-quarter of tests return positive

10,160 is the number of new Covid-19 infections registered in the country, out of 41 433  tests performed in the past day, down by 1,021 from the previous day.  77.5% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. The positivity rate is 24.5%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active cases has gone up to 179,301.

572 is the number of new hospital admissions, 83.4% of them are among the unvaccinated.

5,208 is the number of coronavirus patients being treated in hospital, 542 of them in intensive care.

93 is the number of Covid-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours, 88 of them were not vaccinated. The Covid death toll since the start of the pandemic is 32,431.

861 is the number of recoveries reported in the past day.

19,321 doses of vaccine were administered in the past day. 1,970,165is the number of people in the country now with a completed vaccination cycle. 541,337 have had a booster shot.
