Bulgaria reports 2,847 new cases of Covid-19 out of 13,268 tests performed

2,847 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 13,268 tests performed. More than 21% of the tests have returned positive results, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 77% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active cases of Covid-19 has decreased by 542 to 202,421. 207 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital. 84% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 5,309 patients are being treated in hospital, as 550 of them are in intensive care units.

28 people with established coronavirus infection have died and 1,376 people have been reported cured in the past day.

A mere 1,938 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday. 1,976,308 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle. 569,133 people have had a booster shot.
