Today, January 28, Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport and Communications Nikolay Sabev is expected to meet in the city of Ruse with Romania’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Sorin Grindeanu. The discussion will focus on the accelerated movement of persons and goods between Bulgaria and Romania.

The initiative aims to identify short-term and long-term measures to facilitate border crossings. Special attention will be paid to the relaunch of the ferry line between Ruse and Giurgiu, as well as to the prospects for construction of new bridges over the Danube under the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding regarding the improvement of navigation conditions in the common water section of the Danube.
