The Specialized Prosecutor's Office has initiated pre-trial proceedings to investigate the so-called “golden passports”. It is investigating an organized crime group that operated between 2015 and 2021. The group allegedly acquired property in an unlawful manner in connection with the citizenship by investment procedure.
