The Prosecutor's Office has initiated pre-trial proceedings for abuse of office against Deputy Premier Assen Vassilev, Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov announced. More information on the case will be available tomorrow, said Hristo Krastev, Spekesperson of Bulgaria’s Specialized Prosecutor’s Office.
Hristo Krastev clarified that under to the current legislation, pre-trial proceedings can be instituted only for a suspected crime, not against certain individuals.
