The Prosecutor's Office has initiated pre-trial proceedings for abuse of office against Deputy Premier Assen Vassilev, Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov announced. Hristo Krastev clarified that under to the current legislation, pre-trial proceedings can be instituted only for a suspected crime, not against certain individuals. One week ago, the company Insa Oil, owned by Georgi Samuilov, announced that they were going to refer a statement of Deputy Prime Minister Asen Vassilev, made in a TV interview, to the Prosecutor’s Office.
