Half of Bulgaria’s households do not possess cars or computers: NSI

According to data of the 2021 Census, 90.8% of the households in Bulgaria live in their own dwelling. 3.7% rent homes. 8% of the households possess a second dwelling, the National Statistical Institute announced. 

92.2% of the households live in dwellings built before 1990. 65.2% possess two or three-bedroom homes. 70.4% of the dwellings are located in the towns. 23.4% of the households possess garages. 82.5% of the households have electricity, running water, sewerage, bathroom and toilet in their dwellings. 44.7% of the rural homes and 97.9% of the urban dwellings have sewerage. 

81.8% of the households in the villages and 97.9% of the households living in the cities have toilets inside the dwellings. 56.2% of the households possess cars and 55.2% possess computers. 67.4% have internet in their homes.
