“Faith, as people in antiquity have said, is the strongest of weapons,” says famous jazz singer Vassil Petrov in an interview for Radio Bulgaria. “Faith is what should lend meaning to human life, and with it comes hope, and finally, as an emanation of everything – love.”
On 30 April, he is to have a concert in Ruse, together with the Ruse Big Band, conductor Dimcho Rubchev. The programme is called “History of world jazz”, and is dedicated to International Jazz Day, and to Vassil Petrov’s birthday.
“Christ is risen” is a song Vassil Petrov sings together with the talented Valeria Stoyanova, guitar – Stoycho Stoyanov. The lyrics are by archimandrite Serafim Alexiev.
