Nearly 95,000 Ukrainian refugees are currently residing in Bulgaria. Less than 60,000 are staying in hotels, Krasimira Velichkova, Adviser to Deputy Premier Kalina Konstantinova, said for the BNR.

“More than 400 hotels have accepted the new programme which provides EUR 7.50 per person per day. The registration deadline expires today. Nearly 22,000 people accommodated in hotels will not be relocated, because their hotels have signed up for the programme and will continue to take care of the refugees”, Krasimira Velichkova said.

More than 35,000 beds were provided for the refugees who will be relocated to new accommodation facilities. More than 25,000 Ukrainians have applied for accommodation at new facilities, Krasimira Velichkova added.
