For the 11th year running Sofia is hosting the The Balkans International Wine Festival, BIWCF. The event, bringing together Balkan wines and culture, is to take place from 16 to 18 June in front of the National Palace of Culture building.
“What makes the festival so worthwhile is that it brings together the people of the Balkans because wine is a bridge of friendship,” Galina Niforu, President of the Bulgarian Association of Wine Exporters said for the BNR, and added that the Balkans are a veritable treasure trove of local wines, on which the focus will fall. The festival will single out the best wine of the Balkans.
