Works by renowned Bulgarian artists of the 20th century will be displayed at the City Art Gallery-Exhibition Hall 19 in the city of Plovdiv. Plovdiv’s most spacious exhibition hall is named after the city’s title of European Capital of Culture for 2019. The works of 17 prominent Bulgarian artists will be on display until July 28. The exhibition showcases works by Alzek Misheff, Vezhdi Rashidov, Ivan Kirkov, Chavdar Petrov, Kalina Taseva, etc.
“I chose the authors for their courage to be free, to stand up for their ideas and be as honest as possible in art”, the exhibition’s curator Vanya Tringova said for the BNR-Plovdiv.
