GERB party will not attend National Assembly sittings until the moment the prospective cabinet is put to voting in the plenary hall. 59 MPs from GERB party will vote against the new cabinet, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group of GERB Desislava Atanasova said. “There is no reason for our parliamentary group to attend parliamentary sittings and form the quorum of this failed and agonizing National Assembly”, MP Desislava Atanasova went on to say.

Earlier, the hearing of outgoing Premier Kiril Petkov and outgoing Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov on natural gas prices began behind closed doors.

"The price of natural gas has increased with 32% and there is no gas," Desislava Atanasova said, recalling that Bulgaria’s outgoing government promised that the price of natural gas would be four times lower.

“Even if Bulgaria receives some gas quantities, customers will not be able to pay its price. We are no longer under the illusion to expect common agreements by the European Commission regarding gas supplies" MP Ramadan Atalay from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms said for the BNR.
