Persons who have received Covid-19 vaccination could undergo a shorter quarantine. This is a proposal which will be discussed on Tuesday by the expert council at the Ministry of Health, announced caretaker health minister Asen Medzhidiev. According to him, if on the fifth or seventh day the antigen test of the quarantined person is negative, they will be able to come out of isolation.

"The problem is that the level of vaccination against Covid-19 in Bulgaria is very low. The countries that reduced the quarantine have more than 70% immunized, and in Bulgaria they are about 30%", the minister commented.

Preparing the healthcare system for a possible new Covid wave is a top priority for the ministry, Medzhidiev added.
