Bulgaria is considering opportunities for energy diversification by importing natural gas and oil from the UAE, Bulgaria‘s President Rumen Radev said during his official visit to Abu Dhabi at the invitation of the country's President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. President Radev opened a business forum, which was attended by representatives of companies from both countries. The Bulgarian delegation accompanying Bulgaria’s head of state also includes representatives of businesses in the field of green hydrogen production. In President Radev’s words, Bulgaria has the technology, scientific potential and natural assets to produce huge quantities of the fuel of the future, green hydrogen, and export it.
According to Rumen Radev, Bulgaria can contribute to the sustainable cooperation between Europe and the Persian Gulf countries thanks to its strategic geographic position and its political, economic and scientific potential.
