2 thousand first-graders less than last year will start school classes tomorrow. Their number across Bulgaria is 57,000 with a total of 717,000 students – 11,000 more than in 2021.

About 600 Ukrainian children are expected to enter the classrooms.

The school year will begin everywhere with in-person training. Students will not wear masks, the Covid tests at the entrance to schools are also cancelled.

46 educational institutions in 14 districts will start the academic year in other buildings mainly due to ongoing renovations.

All students and teachers are provided with conditions for conducting a normal educational process.
