Interior Ministry shake-up due to inadequate control

Three heads of district police departments and the former head of the traffic police commissioner Tencho Tenev have not exercised adequate control in the case of Georgi Semerdizhev, accused of the serious car accident on Blvd. "Cherni Vrah" in Sofia in July, in which two young women died. This was announced by Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev to journalists. 
"It is not possible that 40 employees helped one person one way or another without there being a supervisor who ordered them to do so," he said. Demerdzhiev then promised reshuffles in the Interior Ministry where managers have shown they cannot exercise proper control over their employees. According to a report prepared by the ministry, the shake-up concerns 10 people in managerial positions.
