Bulgarian Minister of Defence expects parliament to start work on project for buying more F-16 jets

Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov expressed hope that MPs would start work on the modernization program of the army and the offer to acquire 8 new F-16 fighter jets as soon as possible. Today, the two projects were submitted to the parliament.

The price of eight new F-16 jets is 1.32 billion dollars. According to Stoyanov, payments for this project can start this year. The deadline within which Bulgaria must respond to the US offer was extended until December 15.
