Police arrest criminal group involved in human trafficking

In the course of a joint operation of the Bulgarian and Swiss prosecutor's offices, an international human trafficking group was arrested, Deputy Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov reported from the town of Lukovit. Swiss authorities have detained six traffickers who will be tried in Switzerland. The group forced Bulgarian citizens to beg on the territory of two cities in Switzerland, as they were being "held in slavery" and living in harsh living conditions. The victims of human trafficking are from the region of ​​Lukovit. The investigation into the case lasted 18 months.
