Funding secured for a new section of the Sofia Metro

Within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the full funding for the construction of a new section of the Sofia Metro has been secured, Mayor Yordanka Fandakova announced.

The extension of line 3 of the metro will connect the residential districts Hadji Dimitar and Levski. "The section should be ready in 3 years. The new line will allow 40,000 people a day to use this most convenient and environmentally friendly transport," said Fandakova, who today inspected the construction works.
