Police detain 42 migrants and a migrant smuggler near Nova Zagora

42 foreign nationals with no IDs were found in a cargo vehicle, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior-Sliven said.

The vehicle, which was registered in Plovdiv, was pulled over for a police check on Tuesday night in the village of Karanovo, Nova Zagora Municipality. The driver, a Bulgarian citizen, was taken into custody for 24 hours. The foreign nationals will be taken to the Centre for Temporary Accommodation in Lyubimets.
