An exhibition of glass Christmas toys will be opened in the Czech Centre in Sofia on December 6. The exhibition is entitled "The design of Christmas?!" and tells a kind of tale about the history of Christmas decoration, presenting a selection of products by Czech designers and companies.

Two days later, on December 8, another exhibition with glass Christmas toys will be presented in Plovdiv. It bears the title "Christmas treasure" and will be arranged in the Balabanova House ethnographic museum. A special part of it is occupied by pearl Christmas decorations from Ponikla. They incorporate a specific production technology applied only in the Czech Republic.

The exhibition is part of the traditional artistic forum "Light and Hope in the Old Town" in Plovdiv and is realized jointly with the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in the City under the Hills, the Museum of Glass and Jewelry in Jablonec nad Nisou and the Municipal Institute "Old Plovdiv".

Both events are organized jointly with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Sofia within the cultural program of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU.
